Click the download button; the modal will open, and you can choose from several available formats (.mp3, .wav and .hdwav) if needed.
Here's what to consider before uploading your first track to Remasterify:
- The quality of your mix directly impacts the final master, so always aim for the best possible mix. Upload a WAV file whenever possible for optimal results.
- Use the raw version of your mix and avoid unnecessary compression or converting to lossy formats like MP3. When exporting from your DAW, consistently match the sample rate and bit depth to your project settings.
- For high-definition masters, Remasterify supports 24-bit uncompressed formats like WAV and AIFF.
All uploaded files must have a sample rate of at least 44.1 kHz. For MP3 uploads, the bit rate should be at least 128 kbps.
Remasterify accepts the following formats: WAV, AIFF, MP3, OGG, M4A, FLAC, MIDI, WMA, AU, MP2, FLV, WMV, MKV, AVI, WEBM, MOV, and VOB.
There's a 1GB upload limit at remasterify.com, but no restrictions on the length of your audio file.
Upload Checklist:- Use uncompressed file formats like WAV or AIFF for best results.
- Ensure your audio has no more than 2 channels (stereo), as surround files aren't supported.
- Files must have a minimum sample rate of 44.1 kHz.
- Keep file sizes under 1GB when uploading to Remasterify.
By following these guidelines, you'll ensure the best possible output for your master.
Mastering ensures the final mix sounds professional, adjusting the overall volume, enhancing clarity, and preparing the song for distribution across different platforms. Both are essential for a professional sound.
If your track isn't uploading, please follow these troubleshooting tips:
- First, check the file type and size.
- Make sure you're using the latest version of your browser.
- Turn off any browser plug-ins or extensions that might interfere with JavaScript (i.e. the AdBlock extension).
- You can also clear your browser's cache or try uploading from a different device or browser.
- Try temporarily turning off your firewall or configuring it to allow Remasterify as a trusted site. You may have anti-virus software on your computer that has a built-in firewall.
If you're still facing issues, reach out to our support team, and we'll get this sorted for you!
If you're having trouble accessing the mastering preview, please follow these troubleshooting tips:
- If the file is too large, it may take longer to process.
- Clearing your browser cache or switching to a different browser can also help.
- If everything looks good, we would suggest cancelling the master, deleting it, and re-uploading the original file completely. Sometimes, an upload can be corrupt.
If the issue persists, there may be a temporary server problem. Try again later or contact support for assistance.
